Cookies Policy

This Cookies Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which of them Blookd uses on blookd.com and its subdomains (the "Site"), what they are used for, and how you can control them. The Site is operated by Mebooked LLC, 1766 S. Newark Ct., Aurora, CO 80012 ("Blookd", "we", "us"). This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places in your browser when you visit it. Cookies let a site remember things between pages and between visits: whether you have already answered a question, which settings you chose, or that a series of page views came from the same browser. Some cookies are deleted when you close the browser ("session cookies"); others stay until they expire or you remove them ("persistent cookies").

Similar technologies do a comparable job without being cookies in the strict sense. The two that matter on this Site are browser storage (localStorage), which lets a page keep a value in your browser under its own name, and pixels or scripts loaded from a third party, which let that third party recognise a browser across visits. In this Policy "cookies" covers all of these.

2. Which cookies we use

The Site is a marketing and information website. It has no accounts and no shopping basket, so it needs very little. What it uses falls into two groups.

Strictly necessary

These are required for the Site to work and to honour the choice you make about the other group. They do not identify you and are not shared with anyone.

• Cookie consent choice (blookd-cookie-consent, browser storage, kept for 12 months). Records whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so the Site does not ask you again on every page.

Because these are necessary for the Site to function, they are set regardless of your choice in the cookie banner.

Analytics

These help us understand how the Site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, roughly where they are and what kind of device they use. We use this to see what is working and to improve the Site. We do not use the data to identify you personally.

• Google Analytics (_ga, kept for up to 2 years; _ga_*, kept for up to 2 years). Provided by Google LLC. These cookies assign a random identifier to your browser and record page views and interactions against it. Google processes this data on our behalf; Google's own use of the data is governed by its Privacy Policy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics in every website by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner. Until you do, and if you decline, Google Analytics runs in a mode that stores no cookies and sends no identifying information.

Third-party content

Some pages contain links to the Apple App Store, Google Play and our social media profiles. Following those links takes you to another company's site, which sets its own cookies under its own policy. Simply viewing a page on the Site does not load content from those companies.

The forms on the Site (join the waitlist, get help, partner with us) are delivered through a form relay service. Submitting a form sends the information you entered to that service so it can be forwarded to us by email; the relay does not set cookies in your browser.

3. Your choices

The cookie banner. When you first visit the Site, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing in the analytics group is set until you say yes. You can decline and the Site will work exactly the same.

Changing your mind. Your choice is stored in your browser. To change it, clear this Site's data in your browser settings (usually under Privacy, Site data or Cookies) and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

Your browser. Every modern browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block cookies from particular sites or from all sites. Instructions are available for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Blocking strictly necessary storage means the Site cannot remember your consent choice and will ask again on each visit.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decision to decline analytics cookies.

4. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the Site changes or the law does. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If a change means we would set new categories of cookies, the banner will ask for your consent again.
